Rexity is an ultra-mixed-use project that integrates a hotel, offices, commercial area and housing in the same tower on a plot of only 2,000m2. The project is located in the Balcones de Galerías Urban Sub-center, next to the Plaza Galerías Monterrey.
The complex seeks to be an icon for the area and the design premise was to create a distinctive identity for each of the four uses that coexist there.
Commerce on the ground floor is easily accessible allowing pedestrians to freely enter the premises while the restaurants are located on the upper floor with terraces that take advantage of the views of the city.
The body of the Hotel and the Apartments were stacked above the offices with views to the south and are separated from the noise of the street to raise the comfort level of the guests and condominiums.
On the façade, the location and vocation of each use becomes apparent, making what happens inside apparent and this is achieved by giving each block a different appearance. This exercise shows how such a complex mix of land use can be achieved through enough analysis and creativity.
